Tallow is rendered animal fat, typically from cows or sheep. It is rich in fatty acids that are similar to those found in human skin. This similarity allows tallow to penetrate deeply into the skin, providing nourishment and hydration. It also contains vitamins A, D, E, and K which are essential for skin health.

Horsetail butter is derived from the horsetail plant (Equisetum arvense), known for its high silica content. Silica is important for collagen production and can help improve skin elasticity and strength. Horsetail also has anti-inflammatory properties that may soothe irritated skin. Also thought to help rebuild and regenerate damaged skin cells.

The color of the cream is a VERY light grayish/yellowish/whitish color due to the ingredients. This is a 2 ounce jar and it will last a very long time. You should get 3-6 months of daily use. Despite being a thin consistency, the cream maintains a creamy quality. This means that it has a smooth and soft feel, which contributes to its luxurious application experience, enabling it to spread effortlessly across the face while delivering effective moisture and comfort.

Directions: Take the pea-sized amount of the cream on your fingertips and gently dot it all over your face, including areas like your forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin. Gently spread the cream evenly across your face using upward and outward motions. Be sure to cover all areas, including your neck and décolletage. Give the cream a few minutes to fully absorb into your skin so that it can work effectively overnight without interference from pillowcases. If you have any leftover after applying, rub it around on your hands. They will feel ultra soft. NOTE: If you notice a small (very minimal) amount of oil at the bottom of your jar, once you reach it, that is nothing but pure goodness. You can either stir the remaining cream into the oil or simply apply the oil to your face, neck, or hands.

Recommended for nighttime, before bed but could use in the morning, barefaced or before makeup. Just allow to fully absorb before applying any makeup. You will only need the smallest amount.

To keep your tallow face cream fresh and stable, store in a cool, dry, and dark place—away from direct sunlight and humidity. We recommend avoiding storage in the bathroom, since the warmth and moisture can affect the texture and shelf life of natural products.

HEAT WARNING: From May to September, your body butter or face cream may arrive in a melted or runny consistency.

As our creams and body butters are whipped, this may result in the expected volume of the product appearing less than full. We assure you that we fill our jars to the top, however, if you choose to purchase a body butter or face cream you are consenting to the possibility of it arriving in this reduced, melted, or runny state.

Ice packs are added during these months; some have reported that the creams arrive still cool from the quality of the ice packs, while others have reported that the packs are warm when they arrive. The condition depends on where you live and the care of the postal team.

If your body butter arrives melted or runny, please put it in the refrigerator to re-solidify. The quality of the ingredients will remain intact even if the consistency is different than expected.

Cold Weather Shipping Notice: Your tallow cream may arrive stiff or even slightly hard. This is okay and normal. After a few hours in your room-temperature home, the tallow will soften back up to the correct soft consistency.
